Shared Folders
Shared Folders
I am using Windows XP VM on Mac. How do I access shared folders? When I go to Devices > Install Guest Additions, nothing happens.

Re: Shared Folders
By reading the User Manual, ch. 4.3 Shared folders. Or from the PDF if you go Help » Contents.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: Shared Folders
That doesn't help, that's about creating shared folders. I already created them.

Re: Shared Folders
That probably means that you don't have autorun enabled in Windows XP. Look in Explorer (or was is still called File Manager back then), navigate to the CD drive and then double click the .exe file.PTP23 wrote:When I go to Devices > Install Guest Additions, nothing happens.

My crystal ball is currently broken. If you want assistance you are going to have to give me all of the necessary information.
Please don't ask me to do your homework for you, I have more than enough of my own things to do.
