I made a copy of one of my virtual machines and then I accidentally deleted the original. So now I have the copied files but don't have the original, is there a way to restore it?
I am using Linux Ubuntu 64bit if it's matters

Re: Restoring Virtual Machine
Take a look at the article "Moving a VM". I believe it's pretty clear, but don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions. Better safe than sorry...
Pretty much unregister the VM from your host (if it's still registered), delete the whole VM folder (or move it somewhere else) and copy the backup to the VM folder. This assumes that you copied the WHOLE VM folder, as described in the article above. If you didn't, do NOT delete/remove anything, we'll need more details of what you did or didn't actually backup.
PS. KUDOS for actually backing up. Not too many do these days...

Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: Restoring Virtual Machine
Thanks for the help, I found the way to restore it through 'Machine -> Add'

Re: Restoring Virtual Machine
You copied the VM folder first to the "Default VM folder", right? You simply didn't add the VM from your backup location, did you? That would defeat the whole backup process...
