Hello.
I'm new to VirtualBox. I have been using VMWare Player for years and now I have decided to migrate to VirtualBox.
I was able to open my VMDK files in VirtualBox but I have a question: should I convert them to VDI using VBoxManage?
What are the advantages of doing this?
Thank you.
Converting from VMDK to VDI. Yes or no?

Re: Converting from VMDK to VDI. Yes or no?
Yes you should, the advantages being that (a) we have expertise here on how to repair damaged VDIs, not so on non-native formats, (b) there are a number of features such as resizing and compaction which only work on the native format - VDIs.
And given that you can always convert the medium back to VMDK in the future, I can't see why anyone would hesitate.
