HP pavilion laptop - Recovery drive memory not getting released.

Hello,
I have an issue with my brand new HP Pavilion laptop.

I tried installing Ubuntu on my laptop-windows 10 host using Virtual Box. I allocated 10 GB dynamic memory for the Virtual Machine. During installation, I faced some issues and couldn't complete the installation process. Even though the installation wasn't complete, this 10 GB memory was automatically blocked on the Recovery Drive. Then I removed files in the virtual media manager and uninstalled the virtual box. Still that 10 GB memory was not released. So, we did a system restore but that didn't work as well.
There no files except the recovery files on that drive.

How can I get back this 10 GB memory which has been locked on my recovery drive?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know how you managed that. I can't imagine how or why VirtualBox would put anything in a recovery partition. It certainly does not put virtual disk files in there. My .vdi storage is over 50Gb, but my total recovery disk space is less than 15Gb.

If the installation failed, the .vdi should be quite small, and it will be in your user file (Users\username\VirtualBox VMs).
