Moving files into virtual box opsys

Post by ejdpop »

I'm running XP in a virtual box, over Windows 7, and I want to copy some files into XP. I can't figure out how to do this.

Where do you want to copy them from? From the host? From a CD? From USB?

Assign a shared folder in the VM settings, copy files to the shared folder.

I've played around with this, and can't make it work. I want to copy files from the Win 7 hard drive to the shared folder in the VM, but it won't let me drag and drop the files. The shared folder in VM resides in the Shared Documents folder under the name Hauppage.

You 'drag and drop' into the Shared Folder on the Host, then within the VM, copy the files
