Windows 10 Pro Creators Fall Update Can't load

Post by 007-theguru »

hello friends, we installed the Windows 10 Pro Creators Fall Update yesterday and tried using VirtualBox-5.1.18-114002 to load the installed
windows 10 user but we got the error :

The virtual machine 'DEVM' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'C:\VM\DEVM\Logs\VBoxStartup.log'.

very upsetting, we have had to go back to previous windows 1703 version and its working fine now.

• VirtualBox 5.1.18 was released on 2017-03-15.
• Windows 10 Fall Creators Update was released on 2017-10-17.

Do you expect that with the ever changing Windows 10 a program that relies heavily on the system being stable to work? Try at a minimum 5.1.30 which was released on 2017-10-16, or 5.1.20 that was released on 2017-10-18 (today).

If not, wait for things to get more stable with Windows and VirtualBox.

Upgrading VBox to 5.2.0 fixed this for me.
