Has anyone attempted to add secure controls around VirtualBox? I would like to be able to allow my devops to run docker on top of VirtualBox but limit it to specific "approved" base VM's. Additionally, I'd like to be able to control access to the local network from the VM's themselves (which I guess could be built into the VM's if the first is possible).
The goal is to allow DevOps to use docker in an offline mode to continue to "dev" but protect the enterprise from rogue VM's and docker apps.
We are researching utilizing the desktop security controls to limit. I'm hoping someone has already solved this issue.
Thanks,
kRasH

Re: Security Controls for VirtualBox
I can't see how VirtualBox would have any part to play in that. It would need to be done from within the operating systems of the host and/or guest machines.
