Need Help please

Post by Davis Clark »

I'm pretty new to this but I downloaded Virualbox and i tried all of the steps for making a new Computer. I'm trying to make a windows 8.1 (32 Bit), but my host (Real computer) is actually a windows (62 bit). I picked 32 bit while starting New (On the Virtalbox) because I cant find the 62 bit, and I downloaded the IOS software off of windows (Online) onto a CD. I added it on the Storage thing and pressed start. Every single time I do it, I always get this error message. I tried without it and it won't even work. I watched videos how to do it and they said a Wizard Installer should pop up but for some reason it doesn't do that. So i was wondering, can anyone please help me with this? Thank YOU!

What error? You forgot to mention the error.
I have a pretty good feeling that it was something to do with "VT-x not available". If so, please go thoroughly through the FAQ: I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests.

PS. There is not 62-bit, there is 64-bit.
PS2. Your physical computer is called the Host, your Virtual Machine (VM) is called the guest.
PS3. Read Chapters 1.2 for some correct terminology and 1.7, 1.8 for setting up your first VM.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
