Digest mismatch (VERR_NOT_EQUAL) with correct file (#17357)
Re: Digest mismatch (VERR_NOT_EQUAL) with correct file (#17357)
Not meaning to gravedig, but... After many years and one too many VWWare $49.99 upgrades, I am back to VBox. What few issues (this was one) I had I solved with information on the forum. Good show. Glad to be back.

This issue (if you follow ticket #17357) has been solved about 15 months ago...

Re: Digest mismatch (VERR_NOT_EQUAL) with correct file (#17357)
I had the issue today when I tried to migrate my W10 guest on my OSX Mojave host, so it is not fixed for me. I applied the solution here of editing the mf file and it worked.

You shouldn't have to if the ticket/bug was indeed fixed...ling_vb wrote:I applied the solution here of editing the mf file
Do you have the original mf file?

Re: Digest mismatch (VERR_NOT_EQUAL) with correct file (#17357)
No, unfortunately, I overwrote it. I didn't really expect it to work as obviously this problem had been fixed. This was a vm that I had migrated between drives many times, so it could be that the hash didn't match for that reason. I thought I would share that this solution may be effective when the Digest mismatch... error occurs during import of a VMWare VM.
