using dhcp

quite a newbie question, sorry

I have a dhcp server on my router.
My host (ubuntu) gets a lease from that router.

I want every vm to get a lease from that dhcp server.

Is this possible ? how should I do it?

I was able to set up a bridge by following this guide
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Automatic_Bridge_Ubuntu

now my vm got a lease from the dhcp server (my router)
internet is ok on the vm.

but I can't ping my vm from another client on my lan network.
what is the problem here?
