Resizing virtual hard drive? + some other questions

Post by fd9_ »

1) Let's say I installed XP on Virtualbox and gave it a maximum of 30 GB. Would there be any way to increase that size later on?

2) Also, how fast would do you think XP would run inside Virtualbox, full screen, with 1.5GB of RAM and a fairly new Duo 2 processor? Is there a noticeable difference is lag when it's run in full screen?

3) Last question: Is there any way to "pause" or "stop" the virtualization (without completing shutting it down) so that it doesn't take up valuable resources when I'm not using it? This would be a huge plus.

Thanks!

1) Only by creating a new virtual disk and using tools inside the guest to copy everything

2) There's no big difference between fullscreen and windowed. The system specs you listed will run xp guests very well

3) You can save the state of a VM and restore it later on. See the user manual
