After 2016-01-01 Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 (and Chrome too, I believe) will reject SHA-1 digital signatures on executable downloads, otherwise it displays "The signature of this file is corrupt or invalid." and will hinder access to the download from within the browser.
When you view the file's Property Sheets via File Explorer, Windows will report the signature, and countersignature, is valid.
Microsoft blogged about it in November 2016 (sorry, I can't post the link) though the post says June 2016; but on my computer at least it's stopped being accepted.
