Does this mean that Windows 10 Build 10240 is officially supported as Host and Guest? I am on Build 10565 at home (Insiders), but ordinary Windows 8.1 here at work. I would like to play around with the Edge test VMs from dev.modern.ie using VirtualBox.This release should fully support Windows 10 RTM build 10240 and Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan).
It means that it generally is expected to work and if anyone observe glitches we'll do our best to resolve them quickly. "officially supported" is something which applies to paying customers, and the authoritative information is on OTN. It currently does not list Windows 10 or OS X 10.11. Depending on the feedback we get for 5.0.8 this could change soon.csmithhelena wrote:Does this mean that Windows 10 Build 10240 is officially supported as Host and Guest? FWIW there are still issues with Drag n Drop and 3D acceleration support on OSX 10.11.klaus wrote:This release should fully support Windows 10 RTM build 10240 and Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan).
No one would have any idea which host or guest you are having network issues with.p060477 wrote:and in using network BRIDGE also...

I remember 3D acceleration is only experimental. I recall last time I enabled it two years ago, but it caused many strange behaviors in guest OSes.loukingjr wrote:FWIW there are still issues with Drag n Drop and 3D acceleration support on OSX 10.11.klaus wrote:This release should fully support Windows 10 RTM build 10240 and Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan).
When updating the GAs to 5.0.8 I get this error messageā¦loukingjr wrote:FWIW, The 5.0.8 GAs break shared folders in LMDE 2 on a OSX 10.11 host as do the 5.0.6 GAs. The folder mounts in /media but none of the files load. The 5.0.4 GAs work.
FWIW, The 5.0.8 GAs work fine with a Linux Mint 17.2 guest. Same host.

This error corresponds most likely to a VBoxSVC.exe crash. No idea where Microsoft moved the application crash dump records, but if you can find it and create a bug with it we should be able to find out what is going wrong.ssawgift wrote:If I have VB running and log off Windows (Windows 10 Pro), I get this strange error most of time:
