Do you use any virtualization software besides VBox, & why?
I use VPC 2007 for Windows ME and that's it.

I'm not sure this topic of discussion is appropriate for this forum. Or this site.
VPC 2007 will not run most modern OS's as VMs, so that isn't much of a base for discussion either.

VPC was great back then. And VirtualBox took some inspiration from it. But it's clear Microsoft doesn't care about it at all and it's more and more difficult to run VPC 2007 on newer Windows version. At some point users will just have to bite the bullet and say goodbye to VPC.

Windows 7 here, VPC 2007 shows a warning but it works fine AFAIK. VPC is complete and utter crap now. The latest version of VPC is over-simplified, almost no features, and has no support for anything besides Windows. That's why I use 2007michaln wrote:VPC was great back then. OK so what does all of this have to do with VirtualBox? Personally I could care less what other virtualizer anyone uses.

My feelings exactly. IMHO if you jumped the Oracle Single Sign On hoops to participate here then you must have already selected VirtualBox, hence my earlier comment that discussion of the choice seems out of place here. It is literally preaching to the already-converted.
