You have been corrupted by a Windows Update. You can work around it for now by reverting to VirtualBox 4.3.12.
p.s. May I recommend that you investigate the Windows 7 host "snipping tool" for making future screenshots. This will let you capture windows without all that wasted whitespace, and you can save the file in png format - producing a file that is smaller and much better quality than a dithered GIF like the one you have there.
