hi, i just upgraded virtualbox from 4.2.18 to the newest 4.3.2 and immediately noticed a very big problem: on XP guests (dunno if it affects other guests too) the cpu usage is massive, it just maxes out ALL available cores (this happen especially after the installation of the new guest additions) making it very heavy on the host and almost freezing the guest...
this is quite a big issue, i verified it on 2 pcs (i7-920, i7-2700k) running Windows 7 x64 as host. as of now i'm thinking about downgrading until the issue is fixed...
Virtualbox 4.3.2 MASSIVE cpu hog
Re: Virtualbox 4.3.2 MASSIVE cpu hog
update: tried 4.3.0 and it has the same problem. just booting a XP guest is a pain with 100% cpu utilization throghout the boot and for the next 10 minutes or so
downgraded to 4.2.18 and everything is fine.
downgraded to 4.2.18 and everything is fine.

Make sure Virtualization is enabled in your BIOS, that nothing is using it on your computer and that the setting is still enabled in your VM config.
If you still have the issue, then please read Minimum information needed for assistance.
