Re: Discuss the 4.2.14 release
Windows 8 Host (64bit), Windows 8 Guest (32bit), Virtualbox 4.2.14...
I have had this guest running just fine for months with no issues...
As soon as I updated from 4.2.12 the option to Auto-Resize Guest Display option was grayed out for my Windows 8 guest.
Even after updating to the 4.2.14 Guest Additions the option remains grayed out.
Anyone else see this?
Thanks
Bob

Re: Discuss the 4.2.14 release
Great job!
Lots of fixes, and some much-pertinent ones (such as the 3D-crashes and stuck-keys ones).
The VirtualBox team has done a great job during the last ten weeks -- the current release is a proof of that. Kudos.

Re: Discuss the 4.2.14 release
Updated to new 4.2.14 release on my MBA host with current OS X 10.8.4, installed new guest additions in my ubuntu 13.04 guest, rebooted guest, and guest aborted within a couple of minutes. Just as with all other VB versions over the last year or so when 3D is enabled.twipley wrote: Lots of fixes, and some much-pertinent ones (such as the 3D-crashes and stuck-keys ones).

Ooooo YES! The mouse wheel works in OS/2. Thank You.
Re: Discuss the 4.2.14 release
Looks like this release breaks vagrant (the import does not work).
Look at issues/1847 on the vagrant github.
It works on prior releases.
I am running Fedora 18, using vagrant 1.2.2 and VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.14_86644_fedora18-1.x86_64:

Also breaks the USB subsystem, can not add USB devices to existing Virtual Machines.
Revert back to 4.2.12 and everything working OK again.

OSX 10.6.8
Upgraded from 4.2.12, now the "main application menu" VirtualBox->About VirtualBox reports r0 as the version and any attempt to install the extpack fails.
md5 of both the installer and extpack match.

Re: Discuss the 4.2.14 release
4.2.14 finally fixed the long time USB problem! Cheer! Thanks, you guys! However, the output sound have click-click noise when the mouse move around the screen, this happen in guess-os windows-8 and 2011, host is windows.
I donate money for you guys continues the good job.
Previous version in Windows-gues lock up the system when devices switch to USB-sound, if you have a USB sound, and a system sound.

Re: Discuss the 4.2.14 release
The OVF import issue is an unfortunate regression and will be fixed in the next maintenance release. AFAIR it affects only appliances without manifests.
Re: Discuss the 4.2.14 release
Unable to verify X window library Installing graphics and desktop services components ... fail! in latest Ubuntu 12.04 LTS guest . Not able to install latest virtualbox-guest-X11 libs as well. Please verify the update for the LTS
Re: Discuss the 4.2.14 release
There are no RPMs yet for F19, which was officially released today (though I found that you can install the F18 RPM on F19).

4.2.16 seems to be out, no change log though...
