There appears to be a problem with "VirtualBox-4.2.8.tar.bz2". I am unable to get a download that matches either the MD5 (54e35ece40457b1a9e27dd9d0429c3a1) or the SHA256 (f336af12244db74e6564dc22e438bbcba70f994aaf0d117fdf70caca9fab1b78).

The .tar.bz file was replaced due to a small problem. It will take some time to get all files updated (the checksums including the tarball).

4.2.8 depends on nvidia-current?

I'm on an Ubuntu 12.10 host and this is what I get when I do:
sudo dpkg -i virtualbox-4.2_4.2.8-83876~Ubuntu~quantal_i386.deb

Same problem with the nvidia dependency here. My Ubuntu 12.04 Gnome desktop stopped working on a Thinkpad T430 after upgrading VirtualBox.

4.2.8 depends on nvidia-current?

Right, this is a bug. That package was installed in the build chroot but is not required of course. And I have no idea how this module can add a dependency. Anyway, I've updated the i386 Quantal package on the download server. The next time you upgrade your packages the new package should be installed without this dependency (the version number of the new package is 4.2.8-83877).

After upgrading to 4.2.8 (from 4.2.6) i get such scrollbar, though all virtual machines fit into sidebar and there shouldn't be a scrollbar showing. Also, if Win8 was last selected machine, then it starts scrolled down to the bottom, so i don't see first machines and have to scroll for them.
