so I misunderstood the dynamically expanding virtual disk and am now stuck with a 5GB virtual disk with windows xp on it. (I am running off of a Linux Ubuntu host). Of course, I have already run out of space.
So I thought the only solution to get my windows installation (without just starting over, which I really do not want to do) onto a larger virtual disk is to create an image of the old one, create a new, larger virtual disk, and then put the old Image on it. I have no idea what I am talking about, really. But it sounds like a good plan!
1. Is that even possible?
2. Is there a better way of going about it?
3. If so, how would i go about doing that?
creating a disk image to move to a new virtual disk
It is possible to use a disk imager but I prefer to use the guests operating system itself.
