Hello VBers,
New-user question about RDC. I'm running Ubuntu in VB on an Intel Mac host. Everything appears to be working fine. I would like to RDC into Ubuntu from another machine (specifically, an XP-based laptop).
I have Parallels set up on this same IMac w/ XP pro. I routinely RDC into the Parallels XP via my wireless network and noted that the Parallels XP OS gets assigned a 192.xxx.xx.xx address from my wireless router. This is what I use to RDC into the virtual XP OS.
I noticed that my Ubuntu OS gets assigned a 10.xx.xx.xx IP address on this same machine and this does not seem to work for RDCing into the box. Is this an Ubuntu setup issue, or am I not understanding how to RDC into the VM?
Thanks,
Mike

Easiest solution is to bridge your network card, then your guest OS (Ubuntu) will get an address from your router (192.xxx.y.zzz) and you will be able to RDC into Ubuntu.
I do not know how to bridge on a Mac, but you may be able to run seamless integration like this :

If is a virtual machine, is it still broken ?
