How do I run VBoxManage?

Post by daafjay »

The Manual states that VBoxManage is required for a number of actions, such as creating interfaces and sharing folders.

Where do I find VBoxManage?

I have tried finding it from my Linux guest (Gutsy Gibbon) via the repositories, and by using the "Run" command line in my Windows host (XP Pro SP2).

Neither method succeeds in calling VBoxManage.

I would appreciate help, please.

Thanks!

Use a Filemanager to locate the Command.

Call it in a Console with Full Path.

Thats not a VB Problem, its a general approach in all OS.

Hi,
VBoxManage is on host system not guest. By default on Windows it is path:
C:\Program Files\innotek VirtualBox

Hope this helps,
