Resize a guest installation?

Is it possible to resize a guest OS installation? I miscalculated how much room I needed, and need to increase the size of the disk space allocated with it. I tried a second partition, but that isn't working out.

It's on an Ubuntu host, with a Windows guest...

You can install a new VM or add a second empty virtual hard disk to your existing VM.
