Repeating keys

Post by ext »

Hi all

I googled, searched this and other forums but didn't find the solution for my problem. Problem which makes my virtualbox completly unusable.

I'm on Asus Intel Core 2 Duo with 32 bit Kubuntu. I have installed latest virtualbox and I'm hardly trying to install and use OpenSuse 10.2 and 10.3 or Kubuntu 7.04 on it. The problem is that after the installation of any of them I can't use my virutal system because of repeating keys. I mean when I type the letters are repeated and instead of "hello world" I get something like: 'heeeello worrrrrrd".
What can I do about that? I have tried clock=pit setting I've googled somewhere but it didn't help at all. Any help would be appreciated.

regards
Jakub

I mean I have read something about a bug of this and that it would be fixed in VBox 1.5.2. Do you also searched in the bugtracker?

Yup, but I didn't find anything helpful. Here are some tickets with similiar problem:

The summary says that bug should be fixed in 1.4.0... :/
