version installation

Im on mandriva 2007.1
i downloaded the 1.5 version from th downloads page for mandriva and i found a file called
VirtualBox-1.5.0_24069_mdv2007.1-2.i586.rpm.run
i double clicked it as usual with rpm files but it was opened by kate giving me a warning that its a binary file and will be corrupt file if i save it...
im new to linux and dont know what to do now to install it
i used to run the 1.3 version which came with the dvd of my distro...
now i uninstalled it and wanted to make clean install for the new vrsion
how to do that??

In the directory where you downloaded the .run file use sh ./VirtualBox-1.5.0_24069_mdv2007.1-2.i586.rpm.run this would be in the terminal window or at a console not logged into X.

thx alot i did that...
but when starting the machine i got this message
failed to start virtual machine window
