Windows 98 and 95, No Bootable media found

Post by jvill »

Windows 98 and 95 will not boot off of the original Cd's. Windows 2000 Pro and XP Pro booted off of the original CD's, loaded and work fine. Also, I'm using Vista Ultimate as the host.

Test it first on real hardware. Not all WinDOS CDs are bootable.

Find a boot disk (floppy) and mount it to boot from the floppy. Then use fdisk in the floppy to create a partition in your virtual disk, and after a reboot format the virtual disk, and you can then access the cd-rom drive (R: if I remember correctly) and run setup from the win98 setup folder.

oh... i forgot... google for win98 boot disks... you'll find usefull stuff to use...
