Spectre error message

Post by camvirt »

i had to enter the command VBoxManage modifyvm "VM name" --spec-ctrl on, to stop a spectre message that appeared on my mx-linux host with debian guests.

Why is that not standard to prevent malware corruption on a system?

There are many scenarios where you have full control over anything running in your VMs and want best speed for them.

Presumably you saw the answer to that question when you looked up this command in the user manual? It looks pretty clear to me.

Topic moved to "Using VitualBox", since "Suggestions" is not for discussions.
Edit:  In fact, topic locked since I see you already have a topic opened to discuss this issue.
