Host: 60gb harddrive Windows 10 x64
Guest: 250 gb external ssd Windows 10 x32
Hi, im trying to setup this virtual machine on a external SSD since my host laptop doesn't have a lot of memory. Everytime I try to load up the virtual machine it crashes. This is usually at the "Activate Windows" screen or the very first screen that has you choose your language ect when installing windows 10. Most of the time, the VM crashes and tells me to post to the virtualbox community, but sometimes it'll crash and my whole laptop will be blackscreened (but I can still use the programs) and I have to restart the laptop. Anyone know a solution?

Re: VM Crashing on "Activate Windows" Screen
I think you need to find a better host PC. This isn't going to work.
What you do have is not enough RAM to meet the official minimum spec for Win10-64bit.
A VM needs actual RAM to run on (and CPU, and loads of disk space). In fact the whole idea of a VM is that excess resources can be used to run a second OS and do work. You don't really have any excess resources. Your host PC has less than 4GB total RAM more than half of which goes to running the host OS, so there is absolutely no way you could ever have 4GB available for a VM.00:00:07.756241 Host RAM: 3911MB (3.8GB) total, 1523MB available
