Hi All,
Having got VirtualBox to auto start machines on boot, I'm running into a problem of them auto starting after power loss and trying to restore previous state... any way to get them to fresh AutoStart?

Re: Virtual Box Autostart
I looked through the manual; best as I can see so far, there is no setting to control how the VM starts in Virtualbox's built-in Autostart.
There are some 3rd-party apps in viewforum.php?f=32 that can run VMs at the host start. One of them may provide a better experience than what you see now.

Your host should not be losing power. Hosts and VMs have gone pear-shaped because of power loss. A UPS should help the host shut down nicely, and a script or UPS service can shut down or save-state the VMs too. Cyberpower and APC UPS's have a script-running capability when the UPS goes on battery.shaun776 wrote:auto starting after power loss
