Hello Guys,

I have virtual box installed on my pc but want to make my pc safer.

Can the secure boot option in bios be turn on if I have other os's in virtual box?

I know if I ran multiple os's the answer is no but not sure of answer if in virtual box.

Thanks in advance

Do you mean the host BIOS? (presumably so, since I'm not aware of any such option in a VM BIOS).

If yes then certainly "secure boot" can be enabled in the host BIOS. In fact IME most name brand PCs bought in the last few years seem to come with it enabled by default. The only resulting problem I'm aware of is that you can't easily try out any VirtualBox test builds, because secure boot requires digital signatures throughout, and test builds often skip the final authoring and digital signing steps.

Hello,

Thanks for the fast reply to my question.
Yes that is what I meant thanks.

I built the pc myself as it was my best option for future upgrade options.
I was unsure about secure boot at the time so I left it disabled.

Thanks for the help.
