Virtualbox and VT-d feature.

Post by Hanzaplast »

Hello All

I switched from i5-2500K to i5-3550 processor so I gained VT-d feature.

Any new possibilities in Virtualbox ?
(nested box is always grey)

Thanks

Nope. AFAIK VirtualBox currently has no feature that needs VT-d.

It certainly has nothing to do with nested VMs: VT-d is about redirecting host card slots (and other I/O) to the VM.

p.s. there are several VM settings boxes that use the word "nested", e.g. nested VMs and nested paging. It would be useful if you were always clear about which box you mean.
