I installed VBOX Versie 6.1.14 r140239 (Qt5.6.3) on a new Macbook 2020 with Catalina 10.15.7 (19H2)
Also with neccessary guest additions for USB usage
When starting Windows and looking at the VBOX menu machine->preferences -> ports then selecting USB
I see (all in grey)
* USB enabled
* USB 3.0 (xHCI) controller
with following filters (not in grey)
* Generic Mass Storage [0100]
Broadcom Corp Bluetooth USB Host controller [0168]
when inserting (while being in Windows 10 window) my USB stick
* I cannot see or access my USB stick
* my USB is recognised in OS-X (and scanned by my viruschecker
Is there a cure for this problem?

Guest Additions (installed in the guest OS) don't influence USB.Dick_vbox wrote:with neccessary guest additions for USB usage
Extension Pack, installed in the host OS, enables USB 2 & 3.
Carefully go through USB basics and troubleshooting. If you finish all the steps 1-7 and cannot get your USB device into the guest OS, carefully post the outputs of the commands in step 8 as text in
Code: Select all
tags, not screenshots. Zip and post the logs step 8 call for, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
