Critical error occurs when I try to start Xubuntu

Post by Dejxxh »

Hi, I installed Virtual box and attempted to start Xubuntu when I click the option to try or Install Xubuntu a pop-up comes up telling me that a critical error occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has been stopped. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app but this did not solve the issue.
Additionally, as I am downloading this to start my process of learning to code, I am not entirely sure how anything really works. I tried to attach the log as is, however, the file was too big so I zipped it, hopefully, that is okay. I read through other posts and saw that the version of the VM and virtual box they are using is commonly mentioned so I will do so in case this may help to solve my issue. I am using Xubuntu 22.04.1 and VirtualBox 6.1.42.

Zipped logs are perfectly fine! Thanks for posting it.

Far too little RAM available:
00:00:06.825935 Host RAM: 3918MB (3.8GB) total, 406MB available
00:00:07.263765 RamSize <integer> = 0x0000000060100000 (1 611 661 312, 1 537 MB)
Frankly, this host PC might be too light to run a VM while also tackling Windows 11:
00:00:08.771150 CPUM: Logical host processors: 2 present, 2 max, 2 online, online mask: 0000000000000003

I'm amazed that Windows 11 installed on that PC. I assume some trickery was required.
