I run an Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on Windows 10.0.19045 with Virtual Box 6.1.40 r154048.
I have the reproducible behavior that the guest system does not respond to input after I locked the host system for more than 5 minutes (but usually it lasts half an hour until I return from lunch break).
The guest system shows nearly 100% CPU load in the performance monitor (Machine -> Session information) although I execute nothing special, it's simply a running Ubuntu. The host system has higher CPU load also, but responds fluently to user input.
What did I try?
- I switched off all energy saving options that I could get hands on in Windows 10, but it still appears.
- I experimented with different settings for the virtual machine, but as far as now I did not find a suitable configuration.
To be able to suggest a solution I append ...
- my settings for this virtual machine (it occurs no matter whether 1 or many CPU cores are assigned)
- a log file.
Best regards
