Virtualbox for business
Virtualbox for business
I'm going to migrate windows 2000 to a virtual one, does anyone know if the use is still free for a company or do I have to secure a license?

Re: Virtualbox for business
That was confusing. I thought you were asking if Windows 2000 was still free. (?!).
VirtualBox and the Guest Additions are covered by GPLv2, so yes it is still free for personal and business use. It is technical support that costs money. These forums are for discussion between users, it is not tech support.
Note that the host Extension Pack is covered by a Personal Use License (PUEL), so the Extension Pack cannot be used for free by businesses AIUI. That essentially means that you have to buy a license if you can't get by without USB2,USB3, webcam passthrough, disk encryption or cloud integration.
