Hi and good morning everybody
Starting with 5.0, VBox supports detached VMs. In the VBox Manager UI, a double click starts a VM "normal" (like in previous versions), but you can right click and start them detached or detachable.
Is it possible to change the default double click start mode from "normal" to one of the detached modes? I know that I can assign a hotkey (which I already did), but every now and then I feel more comfortable to click
I searched Google and this forum, but did not find an answer...

Re: VirtualBox Manager: Change VM startup mode upon double click
Best of my knowledge there is no way to define what the double-click does, it's hard wired. Would be a possibly interesting feature - post it on the Bugtracker as an enhancement.
Meanwhile, you can start guests in detachable mode with a command line, and you can start the command line from a double-clickable shortcut. See viewtopic.php?f=6&t=80246&p=375911#p375911
