Re: Cannot force update to Windows 10 from Windows 7 Pro (Gu
OK, so I've tried the step by step instructions posted and quoted from BillG below. The problem with these instructions for me is: A) My host is a Mac. So I'm not able to use Microsoft media creation tool. Instead I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO from the Microsoft TechBench. (I think that solved the...

Can not upgrade to Windows 10
I use a MacBook Air with OS 10.9.5. My VirtualBox is 5.0.10 and running Windows 7 Pro as guest.
I just attempted to upgrade to Windows 10 but I was informed my CPU isn't supported and my VirtualBox Graphic Adapter is not compatible.
Any suggested fixes?

Cooling fan never stops. Storage settings?
Hello members. I've been running a Windows XP Pro guest machine on my Apple MacBook Air (current OS 10.9.5) without any issues. But recently I've been forced to update to a more current Windows operating system for business reasons. I chose to setup the new machine with Windows 7 Pro (32 bit). But o...

VM updates result in start up problem
Any time I get an update notification I dread it. Once I've installed the update I get the following message when attempting to start my VM: " Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows. Implementation of the USB 2.0 controller not found! Because the USB 2.0 controller state is pa...

Increasing storage - what is my easiest path?
When I initially set up VirtualBox on my Mac (currently using Lion OS) as the host for XP Pro as the guest I seriously underestimated my storage needs. I set up for 10 gig. And I set it up as Fixed (and not dynamic). I realize I need about 30 gig. My questions are: Do I need to set up a new machine ...

Unable to obtain ethernet connection
I have a MacBook Air running Lion OS (ver 10.7.3) as host. I have Windows XP SP3 as guest. (FYI: my Virtual Box and Extension Pack are up to date with current versions) After installing Virtual Box I successfully set up the bridged internet adapter for use with my wireless airport connection. But I ...

setting up printer on Windows XP guest?
I am on a MacBook Air with Lion (10.7.2) as the host operating system. I have an Epson Workforce 630 printer connected wirelessly by way of my router. I installed VirtualBox 4.1.6 and installed Windows XP sp3 as the guest system. So far everything seems to work fine with the exception of the printer...
