Re: VMbox4.3.24r98716 win10 tp display size

I just do a clean install when a new build comes out. I've never added any drivers other than what comes in the guest additions and mine always works fine. not sure what you mean by disabling the snapshots. I just don't use them. I just got the latest VMbox small update and got the guest additions ...

Re: VMbox4.3.24r98716 win10 tp display size

Well I guess I would just wait. You haven't been using snapshots by any chance? I disabled snapshots too, because of resource conservation I am not too bothered by the problem since it works just fine. home group , internet and access to my Network storage is great. I am not a big fan of windows 8 ...

Re: VMbox4.3.24r98716 win10 tp display size

Right click the VM in the GUI. Select "Show Log". Save "VBox.log" to a file. Compress that file and attach it to a message here. Make sure the VM is fully shut down before taking a log. do you mean to get a log now, when i am running in windows 10 tp 9879, when it is functioning...

Re: VMbox4.3.24r98716 win10 tp display size

I think I misunderstood something. Was your issue the fact that 1920x1080 wasn't listed in the Windows screen resolution panel? Did you try to switch to full screen and then check? you are correct. Every time I went from windows 10 tp build 9879 to 9926 the option to switch to go to 1080 disappeare...

Re: VMbox4.3.24r98716 win10 tp display size

the guest additions should match the version of VirtualBox you are using. you don't need to download the GAs seperately. They are part of the VirtualBox package. From the VirtualBox menu>Devices menu choose Insert guest additions CD image or however it's worded. That will mount the .iso and just ru...

Re: VMbox4.3.24r98716 win10 tp display size

If I were you I would just download the 9926 build and install that rather than trying to upgrade a previous build. Or wait for the new build which should be out shortly. There is nothing I'm aware of in the 9926 build that would cause the screen size to be incorrect if the guest additions are corr...

Re: Windows 10 Guest Reboot Host

I just had this exact same thing happen. I had updated to the latest preview build 9860, i believe and had VM box set to expand to guest monitor and had a resolution of 1900x1002. good enough with in the vm I distinctly opted to choose the windows shut down and used its icon and was given the only 2...
