Thanks for your reply again.
I've switched 3D acceleration on and reduced the memory down to 1 GB but it is still doing the same.
Attached another log in case it can shed any more light on the problem.

Thanks for your reply. My MacBook Air has no internal optical disc drive so the one I use is a USB drive, I've attached a screenshot of what VirtualBox displays on my system.
