Re: VBoxSVC crashing
Finally got it working again. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the problem was. My steps: 1. Run VirtualBox uninstaller tool 2. Move my Virtual VMs directory to somewhere else 3. Remove ~/Library/VirtualBox directory 4. reboot 5. install VirtualBox 4.3.6 6. reboot 7. start VirtualBox 8. re-add my ...

Re: VBoxSVC crashing
Yup, no idea why. I've been using it for years and one day, I opened it up and no VMs were showing. The only things I can think of that changed were: 1. Upgrade to 4.3.6 (although I tried going back to earlier versions) 2. Upgrade to Mac OS 10.9.1 (from 10.9) I can't even open one of my existing vbo...

Re: VBoxSVC crashing
No, don't even know what that is. I can't get far enough to even start a VM. The initial window comes up without showing any of my existing VMs and can't create a new one.

VBoxSVC crashing
Can onyone tell me why VBoxSVC is crashing on my mac? If I run it manually with no options, it runs fine. I've tried fixing permissions as well as uninstall, reboot, reinstall. Here is the crash log: Process: VBoxSVC [416] Path: /Applications/VirtualBox.app/Contents/MacOS/VBoxSVC Identifier: VBoxSVC...

Re: VirtualBox suddenly stopped working
Thanks for the suggestions. However, I only ever sign in as one user and I did try running the repair disk permissions.
Are there supposed to be VBox extensions in the /Library/Extensions directory? I don't see any.

Re: VirtualBox suddenly stopped working
The other weird thing I noticed is when I bring up the "About VirtualBox" dialog, it says:
VirtualBox Graphical User Interface
Version r0
Also, when I try to check for updates, I get:
The network operation failed with the following error: Unknown reason

Re: VirtualBox suddenly stopped working
I've been trying to figure that out. It's been a while since I used it. Perhaps the 10.9.1 upgrade? I think I also upgraded to virtual box 4.3.6.
I tried downgrading to 4.3.4 and 4.2.20 with no luck.
