Re: Large guest display and Auto-resize guest display disabled.

Let me say that the system is very unstable. Even when I capture the mouse, the cursor is there then disappears, and on and on. I set screen size to "none". Then "saved" . Turn on again and no change. I thought of "Power Off". But I did that a couple of hours ago and go...

Re: Large guest display and Auto-resize guest display disabled.

The display is too large for me to reach and click on the Menu tab with the cursor. Both the vertical and the horizontal slide bars are all the way pegged out and cursor stops short of Menu tab on bottom left corner of display tray.

Large guest display and Auto-resize guest display disabled.

Hi: :) I have Windows 8.1 host. The guest is Slacko Puppy Linux 6.3.0. VB is 5.1.22 version. The guest display is so large that there is a scroll bar on the right and on the bottom of the screen. Very difficult to navigate the cursors due to oversized display. VB Preferences > display shows “Max gue...

Re: "Fatal exception in interrupt" during Guest install

I opened the Bios and enabled VT-x. It is now working fine. Thank you guys for being patient with me. I was under assumption that it was enabled due to fact that I had previously installed Ubuntu 16.4 in VB. Obviously it doesn't work every time. Hitting me between the eyes with a 2x4 to check that B...

Re: "Fatal exception in interrupt" during Guest install

I forgot to mention that I am installing the guest from an iso file and not a disk or USB. I recently ran Ubuntu 16.4 in VB and had no problem other than it was very slow. So I know the Bios is OK. This time I chose “Other” as the VM template because Ubuntu doesn’t appear in the menu. Strange I thou...

Re: Can't enable USB controller under Settings/USB

You open a command window and then change to the directory that has VBoxManage.exe, then type VBoxManage list extpacks. When I open the command window , it has C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator and the cursor. What do I type after that to change directory? The VBoxManage.exe file is in C:\Pro...

VB 4.2.18 r88780 Sorry but I am not familiar on how to get to "same directory that has VBoxManage.exe". I entered the command you gave and said that is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file. Is there a way to copy and paste these command window ...
