Re: Discuss the VirtualBox 6.1.36 release here.

To be more specific, I noticed that the time of signing by SHA1 digital signature is in 2014. I have checked the binary on Windows 7 and XP. Its integrity cannot be verified on Windows 7 and XP as well. Same error messages are shown. VirtualBox 6.1.34 Windows binary is only signed by SHA256 digital ...

Re: Discuss the VirtualBox 6.1.36 release here.

The integrity of Windows binary cannot be verified by SHA1 digital signature.
It can be verified by SHA256 digital signature though.
Is this a concern?

Re: VCPU2: Guru Meditation -2701 (VERR_VMM_RING0_ASSERTION)

1. No, I didn't. 2. I have Avast Antivirus and Comodo Firewall/HIPS. After the delay, it is seldom but possible that the VM fails to start with error message like "Host does not support hardware 3D acceleration" and "Enable 3D Acceleration" checkbox of "Settings" dialog...

Re: VCPU2: Guru Meditation -2701 (VERR_VMM_RING0_ASSERTION)

I observed this from Resource Monitor.
"Settings" dialog of VM also sometimes suffers from this delay.
It seems VBoxTestOGL.exe is called to decide whether to disable "Enable 3D Acceleration" checkbox before the dialog is prompted.

Re: VCPU2: Guru Meditation -2701 (VERR_VMM_RING0_ASSERTION)

And second, how on earth did you manage to start the logging 19.44 seconds in? It is not rare on my system. Recent log: VirtualBox VM 5.1.30 r118389 win.amd64 (Oct 16 2017 10:47:00) release log 00:00:20.952188 Log opened 2018-01-15T09:01:27.362828700Z It sometimes occurs when starting a VM with 3D ...

Five issues when using VirtualBox 4.3.12

I have five issues when using VirtualBox 4.3.12. The host is Windows 7 64-bit and the guest is XP 32-bit. 1. VM is suspended after disk full. I free some space and then resume the VM but it hangs. The VM window is not responsive. 2. When I press Host(Right Ctrl)+P to resume a suspended VM, it resume...

Re: DirectX renders images upside down in XP host

The latest graphics drivers (included in ATI Catalyst Software Suite 13.4) have already been installed. Reinstalling changes nothing. I compare the VBox logs in WinXP host with those in Win7 host. Logs in Win7 host have the line "OpenGL Info: ATI Fullscreen qwirk SUCCEEDED!" but those in W...

Re: DirectX renders images upside down in XP host

Both WinXP and Win7 have installed the latest version of DirectX (DirectX End-User Runtimes - June 2010).
Reinstalling DirectX does not fix it.
The program correctly renders images when running directly on the XP host.
Therefore I think it is not related to the DirectX drivers on the host.

DirectX renders images upside down in XP host

I have a 32 bit WinXP guest with 4.2.12 experimental DirectX driver installed. The guest runs on the machine with both 32 bit WinXP and 64 bit Win7 installed. I have a program running on the guest. I believe it uses DirectX (Direct3D) to render graphics since it is not working without the experiment...
