I disconnected the usb cable from the sata reader and nothing happened. Any other suggestions?

I am using a SATA to USB converter. So the first hard drive that it was inserted in the reader, Ubuntu detects every time but if I swap it for another hard drive. Ubuntu does not recognize the new hard drive.

I am wondering if VM associate the reader with the hard drive ID or something.

I have a Virtual Box running Ubuntu on my Windows 7 machine. I have the following external SATA Hard drive Reader. Data-Express-DE50-Dock Ubuntu recognizes only ONE SATA Hard Drive.
