Re: VirtualBox 4.04 OSE - Howto boot from USB-devices ?
I suggest using PloP boot manager (http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager.html). It has a boot from usb feature and a livecd.

Re: OS/2 Dynamic Disk
OS/2 says it can't be installed onto a jfs partition. I'll try the "compact" option of the CloneVDI program, and see if that works.

Re: OS/2 Dynamic Disk
Unfortunately, this didn't work--the second disk image was the same size as the first.

Re: OS/2 Dynamic Disk
Yes. Should I reinstall, or is there an alternative? Could I just create a new disk and copy the contents of the old one?

Re: OS/2 Dynamic Disk
No, the disk was created dynamic with a size of 10G, and although there is only about 1G of data, the disk is still 10G on my host machine. I suspect that the hpfs filesystem might have caused this, but it might have something to do with VBox.

OS/2 Dynamic Disk
I've installed OS/2 Warp 4.52 in Vbox 4.04, Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I selected "dynamic" as the disk type when creating a vdi, but the image acts like a static disk. I think this might have something to do with the HPFS file system. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or know a so...

As another option, you could use the raw hard disk. http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch09.html#rawdisk

Guru Meditation with MS-DOS 7.10
I am running MS-DOS 7.10 under Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I had just closed the GUI file manager (not the shell, but an add-on installed with DOS) and typed "mem" at the prompt when a dialog box popped up titled "Guru Meditation". It said to provide my Vbox.png and Vbox.log file....

Re: Shared folders on different hosts
Clarification: I am dual-booting Ubuntu and Windows 7. I have a Windows 2000 VM. I want to be able to use the VM without rebooting from Ubuntu to Windows 7.

Re: VirtualBox as bare computer
If you really want to use virtualbox without an os, you could compile a stripped-down linux distro with nothing installed but VirtualBox and a file browser.

Re: CloneVDI tool - Discussion & Support
How can you use this tool to read files? I didn't see anything about this in the program.
