OK, I just installed Jaunty on this machine, and VBox-3.0 is working just fine. I'm going to keep playing with Karmic to see if I can find the issue.

Any reason yours ends in .run? Well, that's just the last package I tried. I first tried using the packages I found in Synaptic, which were the 2.2.4 OSE, and had this same problem. I've been trying to install VirtualBox with no luck so far. I've read through the forums, and can't seem to find anyone with this problem, and I'm hoping someone can help me out.
