OK, I just installed Jaunty on this machine, and VBox-3.0 is working just fine. I'm going to keep playing with Karmic to see if I can find the issue.

Maybe but this is an alpha. I need to play with it a bit to see what it takes. More when I have time. By the way it would have been nice to know this on the get go. :wink: D: Sorry about that! I'm more than willing to install Jaunty on here and see if that works. Well, tomorrow, at least....

Any reason yours ends in .run? Well, that's just the last package I tried. I first tried using the packages I found in Synaptic, which were the 2.2.4 OSE, and had this same problem. I figured before I posted I should try the latest versions. I'm using Karmic Koala, so none of the .deb's for 3.0 wor...

I've been trying to install VirtualBox with no luck so far. I've read through the forums, and can't seem to find anyone with this problem, and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I tried installing the VBox 3.0 from the 'VirtualBox-3.0.0-49315-Linux_x86.run' package. Everything seemed to work right,...
