The solution is to hit HostKey + Home, select "View", "Virtual Screen 1" and then select "Host Display 2".
It would sure be nice if these hotkeys were documented somewhere.

Multiple monitors on host FUBARed after upgrade (FIXED)
I just did the upgrade to 4.0.4, and while it's clear that I'm not having as much trouble as some users, I have lost a bit of functionality. Previously, if I moved the VM window onto the secondary monitor and put it into seamless mode it would run on the secondary monitor, no problem. Now when I put...

Re: Seamless XP-VM always on top under Xfce
It doesn't help you, but I see the same on my Hosts, but not found a work around. Though I think that it doesn't happen when you run Compiz-Fusion. That's on my PC anyway, and IIRC, it didn't happen there like on my laptop. Don't have time to check that now, might check when I have and run a VM. Ye...

Re: Seamless XP-VM always on top under Xfce
bump...setting all the host windows to "always on top" really isn't a valid solution.

Re: Seamless XP-VM always on top under Xfce
Interesting...if I set a particular host window to be "always on top" then it behaves as I want it to with respect to the virtual desktop, but stays on top of all other host windows (which is obviously unacceptable). LOL...ok, if I set ALL host windows to be "always on top", then...

Seamless XP-VM always on top under Xfce
I'm running VBox 2.1.4 on Debian Squeeze. (I include that for completeness, althought I don't think it matters.) The problem is this: * If I use Gnome as my desktop, running an XP desktop in seamless mode works as I'd expect it to, namely, when a host window gets focus, the entire XP desktop moves b...

If the release is newer than the debian version in the repos then it is best to keep that version. No, the version I had installed via dpkg was 2.1.2 and the repos had 2.1.4. Anyway, I went ahead and updated the sources.list, did an 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get upgrade' and got the new version no ...

VBox on Debian
So, I've been using VBox for a while on my Lenny workstation. When I first installed, I went from the d/l'd .deb file, but I just noticed that there are repos to work with apt. My question is, if I put those repos in my sources.list, update apt and install the new vbox will it handle replacing the o...
