Cannot get the sound to work

I use ubuntu with a Creative Audigy2 ZS Platinum Pro. On the host the driver is set to the ALSA Audigy 2 multichannel playback/capture and the sound works. Inside the virtual machine (Win XP) I can't get the sound to work. I have tried every combination of settings. Using ALSA with ICH AC97 a device...
