Even more, the CD shows as mounted by default and it shows as Audio CD that has a Track00.cda file inside... so I actually have to manually unmount that and mount the actual CD.

Thanks again, at least from GUI I don't see any option to share a mounted drive, it might be some command prompt option... I'll research...

As for the CD that's right, even if you eject it from host it still display the old content and doesn't detect a new CD.

Is it possible to share a drive/folder from guest to host? Not any drive, I have a Novell mounted drive and I'd like to share it to the Vista host. Novell client for Vista doesn't work in this environment, this would be a hack to get my Novell drives working in Vista by sharing them from an XP host....

I'd like to make the virtual machine smooth experience as possible for this I need to make USB devices and CDs mount automatically. Is it possible?

XP guest on Vista host (don't ask!).
