Release and Remove are grayed out

For some reason, the “Release” and “Remove” options are both grayed out in the Virtual Media Manager.

I am trying to remove a virtual hard disk from my primary solid-state drive in order to free up space because I am low on disk space.

Thank you.

Re: January 2018 crashing on Mac OS X 10.12.6

I'm not sure exactly under what circumstances it crashes. I looked in the Console application on Macintosh, and it showed a total of 16 crashes for VirtualBox, I believe. I'm attaching 12 of the crashes in case you want to take a look at them. I was going to attach all 16, but it seems like there is...

January 2018 crashing on Mac OS X 10.12.6

I'm seeing some fresh crashes in January of 2018. I am running a Windows 10 guest machine. I had the VDI file for the machine marked as Immutable for a while. Then I tried to change it back to Normal . It seems like the crashing behavior might have started sometime after I changed the VDI file from ...

Re: crash on macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Okay, I think you may have spotted the problem. I have an SD card (inserted) with a partial backup of my system on it.

I think Spotlight must have been choosing the VirtualBox version from the SD card, and it doesn't work when I try to launch that version.

Thank you and have a great day.

Re: Flash drive error message

I think maybe USB 3.0 (xHCI) Controller setting might have fixed this.

Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Re: crash on macOS Sierra 10.12.6

I think the crash might happen when you try launching it from the Spotlight on Macintosh as opposed to from the Finder.

If you could try launching it from the Spotlight and see if it crashes, then I think you might easily be able to reproduce this issue.

Thank you and have a wonderful day.
