I started noticing weird patterns in the SharedClipboard with the 6.1.0b1, so I decided to run a full blown test. The results are summarized below. VirtualBox Version 6.1.0_BETA1 r133421, with GAs r133419 (the ones that came bundled).

Summary

• WinXP guests fall bidirectionally, on all hosts.
• Linux guests fail bidirectionally, on Windows Hosts only.
• Linux/OSX guests fail "Guest to Host", on all hosts.

Please confirm/refute...

Summary

• Linux guests fail bidirectionally, on Windows Hosts only.

Today my w10 host crashed while I tried to use an older version of vbox guest additions on Mint 19.2.
I cleaned up and re-installed the beta version.
Funny enough clipboard now works.

You're not mentioning your host. You're not mentioning your guest. You're not helping dissect the issue...

Didn't I?

Host is W10 1809 with Vbox 6.1.0beta1. (as in above post and fitting the thread)
Guest additions and kernel as stated in above post. (6.1.0_BETA1 r133315,4.15.0-64)
Client is Mint 19.2 MATE (as in above post, ok forget to mention Mate)

Anyway no help, as it stopped working again, at least direction client to host. Host to client still ok.
So what I see is not consistent.

Always try with the latest and greatest. The newest 6.1.0b1 builds are now the Development builds. It's now (as of this writing) at rev. 133583. If you want to get notified when there's a new Test build available, Cc: yourself to the thread that I'm tracking the Test builds updates.

The remaining issue with Linux guests on Windows hosts has been [Fixed] with builds ≥ 133661. \o/
