I have a silly problem where I remote into an unattended system (using realvnc. I am on linux Mint. They are Windows 10). to update and install some software on a vm that is running Mint XFCE (so remote host Windows 10, remote guest Mint XFCE).
The problem is that the vm is in scaled mode (why I am not sure), but I cannot seem to send the ctrl+ home key to get it out of this mode so I can(for example) run guest additions after kernel updates etc.
So is there any way I can change the setting for the vm to get it out of scaled mode? Say for example shut down the vm then change the setting from cmd line or from the VB gui?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks

OK After a good mug of coffee, I found a solution (always the way that you think of it AFTER posting! lol)
I went into VB preferences and change the key sequence to something easy. Now I can get in and alter the screen settings.
In my defence I hadn't had my morning coffee lo.
